Overview

MARKETS

The P&C runs the markets on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 8am to 4pm at Manly Village. A majority of our funds come from this endeavour. See the market’s Facebook page for updates and e-mail Simon if you’d like to get involved!

CANTEEN

Beach Bites Canteen is run by P&C staff and all profits go towards our fundraising efforts. Learn all about the canteen here, sign up here to volunteer and follow their Instagram and Facebook page for weekly updates and specials!

sea murmurs

The school’s annual Yearbook is funded and created by the P&C! Have any photos you’d like to submit to this year’s edition? E-mail seamurmurs2023@gmail.com

UNIFORMS

A group of fun-loving parents with a penchant for folding clothes volunteer to run the shop. The clothes are donated and then sold for a third (1/3) of the Pickles price. MVPS P&C use the money to do wonderful things for our children at school. As well as being a service to the school community by offering affordable uniforms, parent volunteers also help new parents by offering insights and help in terms of uniform usage.

Pre-loved hats are also sold at the school office in case a child arrives at school without a hat and wishes to buy a used one. No hat no play! Library books must be transported in a library bag, or they cannot be borrowed. We sell new and used library bags. The shop also sells PSSA socks for those children participating in PSSA sports and sell them at the same price as Pickles.

The second hand uniform shop currently runs on Friday afternoons from 2:45pm - 3:30pm outside on the school grounds. Any questions? Please email us at pandcSHUS@gmail.com

CLASS PARENT REPRESENTATIVES (CPRS)

Each class has 1-2 parent volunteers what work closely with our Head CPR coordinator, who is part of the P&C Executive Team. To find out more, contact: mvps.cpr@gmail.com

Staff Appreciation

P&C volunteers contribute to and organise lunches, events and school-wide efforts to show our teachers and staff just how grateful we are for their investment into our children’s lives. Want to get involved? E-mail our coordinator here.

SCHOOL BAND

All of the school bands are run by the P&C and the conductors are P&C staff members. Currently there are 3 bands to accommodate every child’s ability and these are Training Band (for beginners - mainly year 3), Intermediate Band (for year 4 & some year 5 students) and Senior Band (for year 5 and year 6 students). Find the Band handbook here and weekly updates in the latest school newsletter!

YEAR 6 FUNDRAISING

Parents and Carers of Year 6 students - along with the students themselves - raise funds for a Year 6 gift to the school, graduation and end of year celebrations. Their efforts include Cross Country Icy Poles, Mother's Day stall, Father's Day stall, Election Day BBQs - if they occur in that year, Bake sales, Crazy sock day and outside of school events.

FUNDRAISING committee

The Fundraising Committee organises Colour Runs, Trivia Nights, and other events and campaigns throughout the year to contribute funds to support the school.

Our mission is to support our children and enrich their experience at Manly Village while creating a sense of community amongst our families and staff. We bring together the voices of the school, parents, carers and the local community to share ideas, organise events, support school initiatives, deliver projects and services and raise funds for the school.
